The art of blending coffee is often misunderstood. Many purists feel that blending coffee mutes the distinctiveness of varieties, but the goal of blending is actually to create a more complete and harmonious cup, one that will show greater complexity and depth of flavor. The art of blending is not something one perfects overnight. Taking already complex origin coffees and blending them to create a finished product that is greater than the sum of its parts is a skill that can take a lifetime to perfect.

We have spent years polishing this craft and are proud of our works in progress.

Our Moka Java is an Organic and Fair-Trade version of the world’s oldest, most popular coffee blend. This timeless classic offers a delicious, full-bodied and complex cup with hints of wine and chocolate. While Americans associate the word “mocha” with chocolate, the facts are reversed: when cocoa was first sold in Europe, it reminded people of Moka coffee from Yemen.
